Prof. Lee Byung Gurl gets elected as President of KSGIS

Professor Lee Byung Gurl of the JNU College of Ocean Science Department of Civil Engineering was elected as 23rd President of the Korean Society for GeoSpatial Information System (KSGIS) at the society’s 22nd annual meeting held in Seoul last Tuesday (December 16, 2014). His one-year presidential term is effective January 1, 2015.

The geo-spatial system society has over 3,000 members who are engaged in research and practice of national landscape, ICT and space information.

Professor Lee was also elected as President of Korea Sea Grant Centers Association administered by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries last October.
