Prof. Choi Soo Seok wins superior presentation award at international meeting

Professor Choi Soo Seok of the College of Engineering Department of Energy Engineering came home with a superior research presentation award from the ‘2014 3rd International Conference on Power Science and Engineering (ICPSE 2014)’ held last month which presented over 120 research papers.

The JNU engineering professor presented the paper entitled ‘Numerical Simulation of Thermal Plasma Gasification Process’ which is expected to appear in the international journal ‘Applied Mechanics and Materials’.

In the award winning paper Professor Choi presented his study into the use of plasma heat for treating wastes, producing energy, and synthesizing nano-materials. He published over 60 research papers in SCI-designated journals.
