Jeju Western Vegetables Industry Project to facilitate marketing through joint partnership with distributors

Jeju National University’s Jeju Western Vegetables Industry Project (Professor Lim Sang Bin, Director, Department of Food Biotechnology) signed the agreement with Korean Association of Agricultural Food Sixth Industry (Kim Sung Soo, President) and Korea Corporation for Environmentally Friendly Farming Cooperatives (Yang Hyeong Mo, Executive Director) to facilitate the marketing of products through effective distribution.
Jeju region produces 79.9% and 39.3% of broccoli and cabbage in the country, respectively, but because of poor distribution of the fresh vegetables from the province their market sales have been limited.
The agreement signed between the Jeju RIS Project and the extramural distributors is expected to activate the marketing of the processed products of the two vegetables by facilitating distribution-related strategies including personnel education and training, joint marketing, advertising, and joint seminars/discussion.
In the meanwhile, the processed products are available for sale through online shopping mall site at http://www.jejuecofood.com.
