Prof. Chun Yoo Jin elected to full KAST membership

Professor Chun Yoo Jin of the JNU College of Ocean Science Department of Marine Life Science was elected as a full member of The Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), the most prestigious organization of eminent scholars in various fields of science, engineering and technology. Professor Chun becomes a member of the Agriculture and Fishery Division. Currently, KAST membership includes 480 scholars (full member) nationwide.

Professor Chun was admitted to the KAST as Associate Member in 2008, and has advanced to the full membership status in recognition of his continued research achievements.

He is well known for his work on Jeju flounders and other marine products. He has some 300 publications to his credit.

Among the awards and prizes he earned include △2007 Deputy Minister’s Prize and Korean Society of Food and Nutrition Scholarly Award △2008 JNU Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Teachers Award △2009 Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award △2010 JNU Superior Grant Achievement Award △2013 JNU Research Award and △2014 Ottugi Scholarly Grand Prize.
