Workshop explores overseas markets for "joritte" (dwarf bamboo) products

Jeju National University Joritte RIS Project (Kim Sae Je, Project Director) and Global Trade Experts Incubating Program (GTEP, Lee Yong Wan, Director) organized a workshop to explore the overseas markets for exporting Jeju joritte (dwarf bamboo) products last Thursday (January 22, 2015). Main theme of the workshop was “Exploring overseas markets for Jeju joritte products In response to the FTA treaty.”

The workshop program featured GTEP staff reports and participants’ sample tasting of a joritte beverage, followed by a special talk by Mr. Kang Moon Soo (Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Government) on the 2015 trend of Jeju Province’s trade and its support policy.

Members of the 8th class of the GTEP program discussed overseas marketing strategies for the joritte products at the workshop where products derived from the joritte plants were displayed.
