Jeju LINC Project presents annual reports and workshop

Jeju National University Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation Jeju Center (LINC, Lee Sang Baek, Project Director) presented the 2014-annual reports of the industry incubating clubs and a LINC-affiliated company workshop in Jeju Grand Hotel Convention Hall last Wednesday (January 21, 2015).

Some 300 members of the business incubation clubs and participating students were on hand to hear the annual reports by 31 teams (31 mentoring faculty members and 113 students comprising the presenter groups). The reports were evaluated by a panel of experts.

On the basis of the evaluations, eight teams were selected for various awards including those picked as “Best of the Best” awards, i.e. “Capstone Jeju Island” (Jeju Governor’s Award), “db” (Jeju Provincial Government Council President’s Award), “SUM Ddeidle” (National Assemblyman’s Award), “MAX” (JNU Presidential Award).

The incubation clubs also reported on their records from the annual sales of their products.

The affiliated family corporations sponsored a workshop comprised of an industry-academic participants talk show, presentation of information for young business starters and consulting sessions. The event closed with the industrial affiliates presenting scholarships to some of the participant students.
