JNU sophomore Kim Sang Ah enrolls as first female Marine Corps ROTC

Maritime Industrial Police Department Sophomore Kim Sang Ah joins Marine Corps ROTC as the first woman officer candidate next month.

Ms. Kim will join the Marine Corps ROTC at Jeju National University as the first woman; until this time the marine corps ROTC has been an all-male unit.

She passed the screening test for enlistment last June, and successfully completed a marine corps training program. To fulfill her dream of becoming a marine corps, Ms. Kim enters the ROTC program next month (February 17, 2015).

Three JNU coeds joined Navy ROTC program as the first woman officer candidates.
