Dr. Ko Yoo Bong elected to JNU Alumni Association Presidency

The Jeju National University Alumni Association elected Dr. Ko Yoo Bong, current Vice President, as President at the 2015-annual meeting held in Jeju KAL Hotel last week.

The newly elected president emphasized the importance of playing a major role of the association in the development of the regional society and the alma mater while strengthening the camaraderie among the alums.

After having earned a baccalaureate degree from Jeju National University, Dr. Ko received both Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Tokyo University. He joined the JNU faculty, and rose to the rank of full professor and deanship (College of Ocean Science), and held several civic positions including the presidency of the Jeju Hightech Industry Development Institute. He retired from his alma mater a few years ago, and currently serving as a coaching specialist.
