Prof. Yoo Chul In elected as President of Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology

Professor Yoo Chul In of the JNU Department of Philosophy was elected as the 23rd President of the Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology, He will serve a two-year term until December 31, 2016.

The Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology was established in 1958, and has contributed greatly to the development of the field in Korea.

In addition to executive roles for the society, he served as Head Librarian for the university library and in many other capacities. He was active in producing a thorough portfolio of Jeju women divers and their cultural heritage for a UNESCO registration.
