The College of Veterinary Medicine (Lee Kyung Gap, Dean), Jeju National University, announced earlier today (April 16, 2015) that Jindo and Sapsalgae male and female pairs supplied by National Cultural Treasures Institute (Seoul) and Korea Salsalgae Foundation (located in Kyung San, Kyungpook Province) gave birth to 4 and 8 puppies, respectively, last month.
The canine breeds Jindo and Sapsalgae are designated as 53rd and 368th Living Natural Monument, respectively. The puppies will be cared for at the center and will be donated to veterinary schools in the country for research when they get to be about two months old.
