President Huh proposes resolving regional conflicts at Jeju Forum

At the Jeju Forum held last Wednesday (May 20, 2015), President Huh Hyang-Jin proposed the university education as a means to reconcile the East Asian conflicts by instilling in the region’s peoples the common values of mutual understanding and community spirit through university education.

President Huh made his proposal in a keynote speech at the 2015 Jeju Forum: Jeju National University Session held in Haevich Hotel, Pyosun, Seogwipo.

He emphasized the need for mid- and long-term measures to resolve the increasingly challenging disputes among the regional neighbors, calling for citizens’ recognition of historical perspectives and pursuit of common values through higher education.
