JNU Teachers College picked to carry out Global Bridge Project



Jeju National University Teachers College (Chung Kwang Joong, Vice President and Dean) was selected as the grantee to carry out the “Global Bridge Project” for the education of gifted children of multi-cultural ethnic families, it was announced by the National Research Foundation of Korea this week (May 22, 2015).

The project is designed to provide support for the education of gifted children from the nation’s multi-cultural ethnic families to train them as globally superior leaders.

The project is being organized and managed by the JNU Elementary Education Institute (Shin Ae Kyeong, Director) to educate the gifted children in Jeju province.

The program calls for 40 elementary school 5th graders and junior high youths to apply by July of this year; educational program, camping, and online lesson will begin in August.

To assure the success of the project, Teachers College plans to establish a “Global Bridge Convergent Education Center” where program for the gifted youth education and its contents will be developed and implemented.
