Groundbreaking for new Music Hall held

A brand new Music Hall will be completed by November next year if the construction proceeds without a hitch, as a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the presence of Jeju National University President Huh Hyang Jin and Dean Park Sung Jin of the College of Arts and Design earlier today (June 2, 2015).

Construction of the Music Hall is expected to cost more than 4.8 billion won. When completed, it will be a 3-storey building with a total floor space of 2298.81㎡.

The new facility will have individual student practice rooms, lecture halls, ensemble and instrument storage, chorus hall, instrument instruction laboratory, and a performance hall with 133 seats. When it is completed, multi-media instruction and faculty-student interactive educational environment will be facilitated.
