3단계 산학연협력 선도대학 육성사업(LINC3.0) 선정

JNU, Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation 3.0 (LINC3.0)

Jeju National University has been selected as one of the Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation 3.0 (LINC3.0).

Supervised by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, the project is a representative university financial support project that supports cooperation in university-industry research, with a total of 302.5 billion KRW to be invested this year alone.

Jeju National University received the best evaluation among the demand-tailored growth project groups in the Jeju-Honam region in the first year (2022) and won the largest project cost of 4.25 billion KRW, in addition to securing 25.5 billion KRW to fund the project for up to six years from 2022 to 2027.

Furthermore, JNU has been selected for the 16th consecutive year, starting with the first phase LINC project in 2012, for the industry-university cooperation financial support project that is administered by the Ministry of Education.

Aiming to create a sustainable industry-university cooperation ecosystem, JNU plans to operate the following programs: △Innovation of Educational Methods and Operation of Educational Curriculum based on industry-university-research linkage △Operation of Global Student Competency Reinforcement Program △Customized Corporate Support Programs Centered on Bio Convergence ICC, New and Renewable Energy ICC, and smart tourism ICC projects.

Kang Tae-young, Director of the JNU LINC3.0, said, “Jeju National University has a history of being selected as the best project group 7 times in the last 10 years of the LINC project (phase 1, phase 2). Therefore, JNU plans to focus on nurturing future creative convergence human resources while leading Jeju society and creating a brand through industry-university cooperation in specialized fields by utilizing the ‘Performance Management Toolkit’ accumulated so far, and also in the 3rd phase LINC project.”
