Biotech Faculty introducing bioscience to elementary and secondary school youths

The Jeju National University Faculty of Biotechnology and Subtropical Agriculture and Life Science Fusion Training Project (Lee Dong Sun, Director) opens an introductory education program in bioscience for the youths of the area elementary and secondary schools under the banner of the “2015 Specialized Nona Area, Subtropical Interdisciplinary Class” program. [“Nona” stands for “split and share”].

Two types of the program will be implemented under the announced plan, one involving the project team visiting the area elementary and secondary schools for introductory education and another for the area senior high school youths to experience biotech laboratory practices at Jeju National University Biotech laboratories as well as holding seminars.

More than 200 students from 14 Jeju provincial schools are expected to participate in the program which runs from this month till February next year.
