Anonymous whistle-blowing system "Red Whistle" introduced

Jeju National University began operating a whistle-blowing system "JNU Red Whistle" to preserve the personal integrity and honesty to prevent any institutional corruption and maintain the transparency of the university administration effective this month. In the anti-corruption measure, the whistle blowers are assured of anonymity for their reporting.

The university has adopted the system used at major national and regional governmental agencies including Police Departments, Agricultural and Food Bureaus, Fire and Disaster Stations, the Korea Electric Power Corporation, etc. The whistle blowers' anonymity is strictly protected under the system.

According to the system, a whistle blower may use his/her smart phone App anywhere and anytime without identifying the reporter. Text message will be used to acknowledge the report and any appropriate action thereof will be notified likewise.
