Nursing College students providing health promotion service

The future nurses of Jeju National University College of Nursing (Park Eun Ok, Dean) were on a volunteer service visit to East Gate flea market providing nursing cares for the needy merchants at work last Monday (August 17, 2015).

The nursing students volunteer program began in 2011. The volunteers dispensed nursing cares to the needy while disseminating the medical information about disease preventive measures, diagnostic observations, etc.

In addition to East Gate Flea Market, the student nursing team visited East Gate Public Market, and East Gate Fisheries Market where the future nurses checked the blood pressure and the blood sugar levels of the merchants and consulted them on various symptoms and diseases related to aging and serious illness during the team’s voluntary services.
