Hon. Dr. Lee Shi Hyang renews his scholarship gifts to JNU engineering students

Honorary Doctor of Engineering Lee Shi Hyang (78, Honorary Doctor of Management conferred by Jeju National University) presented a check for 30 million won to award 15 scholarships (2 million won each) to the students in the JNU College of Engineering Department of Architectural Engineering last Tuesday (September 8, 2015). Business man Dr. Lee is a native of Jeju residing in Japan. He has generously given the scholarships annually since 2012.

Dr. Lee was born in Hankyung County Doomori Township, graduated from Joongang High School and thereafter immigrated to Japan where he has built highly successful businesses. He has also been active in the Korean immigrants affairs in Japan, serving as Chairman of the Korean Natives Association in Tokyo area and in other capacities in Tokyo metropolitan area.
