스마트팜 실습장, ‘농식품부 첨단기술 실습장’ 지정

Smart Farm Training Center designated as a High-Tech Joint Training Center

The Jeju National University Future Agricultural Management Training Project (FAMTP) (Director Kim Dong-soon) announced that the Smart Farm Startup Incubating Education Practice Center, which was built and operated by JNU, has been designated as a high-tech joint training center by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in recognition of its advanced practical facilities based on information and communication technology, excellent practical technology and educational environment.

FAMTP is preparing a high-tech education program for Advanced Smart Farm Facilities Equipment Technology, Advanced Strawberry Smart Farm Technology, Advanced Mushroom Smart Farm Technology, Industrial (Edible) Insect Smart Farm Advanced Technology, and Smart Farm Advanced Technology for Special Crops and Protected Horticulture. Through this, it plans to provide cutting-edge smart farm education to college students in agricultural fields, youth farmers and local farmers in Jeju.

Director Kim Dong-soon said, “FAMTP JNU will continue to share resources and establish a cooperative system with other educational institutions so that the state-of-the-art smart farm facilities built with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province can be continuously used for local high-tech agricultural technology education in Jeju.”
