정주희 교수, 10월1일 작곡발표회
Prof. Chung Joo Hee presents her composition works at Ara Muse Hall next Thursday

Professor Chung Joo Hee of the Jeju National University College of Arts and Design Faculty of Music will present her composition works in Ara Muse Hall at 7:30 p.m., October 1, 2015.

Her composition pieces include 「Jeju...Time and Space II, In Biel Cathedral, Dispersed Memory , Der schwarze Strom, Balmook II, Ein blauer Raum II, which will be played on piano, violin, viola, clarinet,  cello, and through electric sound and images.

Professor Chung studied the music composition at Ehwa Women’s University, Boston University, and the University of California. She earned her music degree from the last, before she relocated to Frankfurt where she received her Diplom at the national music school and Konzert Examan degree from Zurich national music college in Zurich.

While being  a student in the United States, she won a Boston Symphony Hall Award, and performed her award winning composition ‘Tinnitus’ at the 42 German Darmschtaet. Professor Chung also earned the first place prize for her work “Der verlorene Ring” at Academy Praque/Vienna/Budapest.

She performed in several countries. She currently serves on many music professional organizations.
