JNU nationally ranked 29th overall and 5th in educational attributes
Jeju National University shows a steady annual rise in national university evaluative ranking.
According to the latest ranking issued by JoongAng Daily Newspaper, Jeju National University attained a ranking of 29th overall among the 4-year colleges and universities in the country.
This year’s ranking represents a significant jump from 39th in 2013, 42nd in 2011 and 46th in 2010. For the first time in the JoongAng ranking annals, Jeju National University achieved a ranking in the 20’s.
Among the 19 regional public universities, JNU scored 8th.
The evaluative rankings were based on △educational attributes including faculty recruiting and retention △ faculty research output △ extramural reputations △students’ educational efforts and successes (such as employment).
Significantly, Jeju National University came away with a 5th ranking in educational attributes nationally.
In disciplinary evaluations, the social science area was the highest ranked (11th) at Jeju National University.
President Huh Hyang Jin commented that the latest ranking reflected the steady efforts made by the faculty and staff and the student body.
