Chang and Choi won superior research presentation award from nuclear energy meet in China

Two energy chemical engineering pre-doctoral fellows, Chang Young Joon and Choi Dong Jae, of the Jeju National University Faculty of Energy Applied System Engineering came away with a superior research presentation prize from the recently held 7th China-Korea Workshop on Nuclear Reactor Thermal-Hydraulics in Konmyung, China.

Their award-winning paper was entitled ‘Investigation on the Condensation Heat Transfer Coefficient in the Presence of Noncondensable on a Vertical PCCS Condenser Tube’. The research project was conducted under the supervision of Professor Lee Young Gun.

The work was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea and was conducted by using the research reactor facility at the JNU Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology.

The bilateral workshop has been held alternately between the two countries. The 7th meeting attracted over 130 papers for presentation this year.
