JNU successfully completed the ‘Learncation’ (Learn + Vacation) program with 12 students from Princeton University in the United States from June 3 to 7.

This Learncation program is an international exchange and cooperation initiative jointly organized by JNU, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and Princeton University. As a National Flagship University, JNU led the entire process—from planning to execution.

During the program, Princeton University students attended Korean language classes at JNU and toured major sites such as the Jeju Energy Corporation’s CFI Future Hall and various high-tech industrial facilities in the province.

They also took part in a global educational experience that combined learning with relaxation by exploring Jeju’s natural landscapes and cultural sites, including Seongsan Ilchulbong, Sunheul Picture Workshop, and the Hahyo Tangerine Experience Center.

Xavier Olsen, a freshman majoring in Molecular Biology at Princeton University and a native of Kenton, Georgia, USA, said, “It was very meaningful to learn Korean and gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture through this program.”
