Fourth grader wins gold at App Ideas Contest

Nohyung Elementary School 4th grader Hwang Da Won went away with a gold prize from the 2015 Creative DIY App Ideas Contest held here earlier this week. The contest was sponsored by the Teachers College Elementary School Education Institute (Shin Ae Kyung, Director).

Hwang Da Won, enrolled in the Global Bridge Education Program, won the first prize with her App idea work entitled “The Great King Sejong, Inventor of Hangeul (Korean letters).”

Chung Ji Yoon (Dong Nam Elementary, 5th grader), Noh Boo Eun (5th grader) and Ko Kyung Ah (Samyang Elementary, 5th grader) each received the award of merit.

Some 180 App ideas from the elementary and secondary schools and the colleges of the province were entered in the contest. The gold prize winner emerged from a keen competition as judged by the panel of evaluators.
