Online open access lecture in K-MOOC contents for nationwide service

Professor Kang Ki Choon, currently President, Jeju Developmental Research Institute, Jeju National University Department of Economics, was named an outstanding lecturer for his development of the quantitative economics for nationwide open access lectureship "2015 KOCW (open access university lectureship program) as part of the K-MOOC project" sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

Jeju National University is re-developing (in MOOC format) the quantitative economics lectures under the agreement with National Institute for Lifelong Education and funding from the Ministry of Education.

Korean-type MOOC service opened 27 lectures last month (October 14, 2015) at Seoul National University, KAIST, and other 8 universities and it expects to cover over 500 lectures by 2018.

K-MOOC(Massive Open Online Course) refers to the free online service lectureship series available to anyone and anywhere. The MOOC lectures allow online real-time interactions between the auditors/students and the lecturers.
