Jeju 1st Children's Meals Center named for its meritorious service

Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial 1st Children Meals Center (Ko Yang Sook, Center Director and Professor of Food and Nutrition at Jeju National University) was named as a superior meals center, receiving a merit award for the center service at the 2015 Children Meals Center Final Reports Presentation held in Seoul COEX Center last week (December 16, 2015).

Recognition of the excellence in the meals service center program was made on the basis of competitive evaluations of 139 children’s meals centers around the country.

The Jeju center scored particularly high in the areas of sanitary and safe managements of children’s meals including nutritional measures to control obesity and low salt meals.
