Joritte industry project gets 2015 Creative Economic Management Grand Prize

Jeju National University Jeju Joritte (dwarf bamboo) RIS Project (Kim Sae Je, Director) was picked to receive a Convergence/Fusion Industry Management Division Grand Prize at the 2015 Korea Creative Economic Management Awards Presentation held in Seoul Korea Press Center last week (December 16, 2015).

The management awards presentation event was sponsored by The Monthly CEO and the Korea Consumers Economy Newspaper to recognize superior managerial cases of successful industrial development in the country. The JNU joritte RIS project has been competitively funded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy since 2010.

In receiving the award, Director Kim commented that the national recognition serves to accelerate the developmental and marketing processes for the joritte products in jeju.
