미국·영국 연수단 발대식 개최
US and UK overseas study teams readied for travel itineraries

As part of the government  sponsored regional leading university support program, Jeju National University (Huh Hyang Jin, President) observed a formal event to send off the two overseas internship and study program participant groups to the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively, earlier this week (December 24, 2015). The US group is heading to New York City where 15 members participate in a US/New York Overseas Internship program and three join the UK Overseas Study program, respectively.

Jeju National University has dispatched a NY internship program team since last year, and the UK itinerary is the first of the overseas study trip to England this year.

The overseas participants were screened through their academic records, English proficiency tests and interviews during the Fall semester.

Their itineraries include departure at the end of December 2015 for eight weeks of language and study courses which also include industrial visit and training sessions before returning to Jeju in February 2016.

Some 100 JNU students participate in annual overseas exchange studies. The university is planning to expand the overseas program in terms of both numbers and host countries/institutions; this year's addition of the UK program signals the expansion initiative.
