Jeju National University will be provided with new dormitory halls on the northern part of the campus in two years as a ground breaking ceremony signals the construction project according to a BTL construction financing system (Build, Transfer, Lease).

The second BTL dormitory for students entails construction cost of 13.872 billion won and will be a five-storey building complex with a total space of 9457.15㎡.

The new dormitory also offers separate accommodations for physically impaired and married students as it houses 500 tenants.

The construction is expected to be completed by February 2017, With the new addition, 2,343 students (21.2% of the total enrollment) will be able to reside in the on-campus dormitory halls at Jeju National University.

The university plans to build a third BTL-based dormitory for 900 residents in August 2016. This would allow 3,243 students to live on campus, accounting for 29.3% of the students residing in the dormitory halls.
