"Regionally Tailor-made Jobs Creation" Project picked for third year support

Jeju National University was selected to get funding for the 2016 “Regionally Tailor-made Jobs Creation” project from the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The third year of the consecutive support amounting to 1.875 billion won covers program implementation from March through December 2016.
The regional employment initiative program focuses on training of the students “custom fit” to the regional industrial characteristics and employment needs.
The university implemented the program by job training 220 students in 12 different education tracks since 2014. In 2015, an aviation service track was launched, resulting in a 75% success rate for the relevant employments.
President Huh Hyang Jin commented that the latest selection of the employment initiative program, in addition to JNU’s similar job training projects achieving nationwide recognition, is expected to raise the employment potentials of the graduates in the region and around the country.
