Graduation Ceremony for the Fall Semester of 2021, the 1st Face-to-face Event in 3 years

'2021 Fall Semester Degree Conferment Ceremony' was held at the Aramuse Hall, JNU.
The ceremony is the face-to-face event for the first time in three years since the '2018 Fall Semester Graduation Ceremony' in August 2019 due to the aftermath of 'COVID-19'.
A total of 710 students, including 41 Ph.Ds, 213 Masters, and 456 Bachelors, were granted a degree.
In his address to new graduates , President Kim Eel-hwan said, "As society changes rapidly and the life cycle of knowledge shortens, you must learn and innovate throughout your life“.
President Kim continued, “During the COVID-19 crisis and climate change where the ice caps have been melting, the world is changing rapidly, such as entering an era of historical change such as the 4th industrial revolution. You will feel and experience more changes with your whole body.”
Futhermore, he added, "The era of lifelong work has come to an end in the past, and the era of lifelong work and furthermore, the era of lifelong learning has arrived. We are living in an era where academic and practical skills learned in college are continuously upgraded throughout our lives. Also, if we do not acquire new knowledge, we are likely to be pushed out of modern society", urging, "I hope you continue your challenges, passion, and self-development efforts to realize your dreams and hopes."
