‘GREAT X JDC 프론티어 발대식’ 개최

GREAT X JDC Frontier Launch Ceremony

Jeju National University held the ‘GREAT × JDC Frontier Launch Ceremony’ at JNU gymnasium in the presence of about 40 students from Jeju National University and Jeju Tourism University.

The ‘GREAT × JDC Frontier’ program aims to designate Singapore, an environment similar to Jeju, as a target country, and to explore regional development, international affairs, and various topics in a specific and systematic way by team.

In addition, after the tour, the team was planned to create a foundation for the development of the local community by suggesting a customized plan that can be applied to Jeju as a free international city.

The event was jointly hosted by the Jeju National University Regional Leading University Promotion Group (Director Kim Jae-hoon) and the Jeju Free International City Development Center (Chairperson Yang Young-chul), and a total of 11 expedition teams were selected.

The selected students have a plan to leave Jeju at the end of August for a week with various topics such as immigrants and multicultural families' awareness and system improvement, Jeju traditional market revitalization, Jeju medical tourism revitalization, Jeju transportation policy and bus system development, Jeju complex resort development, and the solution of household waste in Jeju.

A JNU officer said, “It is expected that the experience of participating in the program voluntarily and writing a training plan, conducting intense preliminary research, contacting domestic and foreign institutions, and visiting overseas will be a great foundation for college life.”
