First female ROTC officers commissioned



Jeju National University held a ceremonial event for the completion and commissioning of ROTC officers and candidates in the campus gymnasium last Friday (February 19, 2016).

29 and 34 navy and marine corps officers candidates, respectively, completed the training course, while 19 and 21 navy and marine corps officers were commissioned, respectively.

Of the officers candidates, Ko Eun Hye (Department of Trade) and Lim Geum Bin (Department of Tourism Development) will be commissioned as the first female ROTC officers next month.

The ROTC candidates and officers underwent a rigorous 2-year training course started in 2014 (February 2014). Ms. Ko Eun Hye won a Navy Chief of Admirals prize for her academic performance.

Others recognized for their performance were △Kang Kyung Beom (Presidential Award) △ Lee Ki Hyup (Army Chief of Staff Award △Ko Eun Hye, Army Chielf of Admirals Award △Lee Beom Soo and Ko Soo Wan, Marine Corps Commander Award △ Kim Seung Wook, Education Commander Award, Kim Sung Hyun, 1st Training Commander Award △Kim Jin Kyu, Commander Award.
