JNU's Youth Education Program picked for excellence
Korea Student Aid Foundation cited Jeju National University’s 2016 Collegians and Youths Education Project for excellence in its implementation, it was announced Wednesday (March 23, 2016).
In selecting the JNU for recognition, the project evaluation was based on the 2015 evaluations and the 2016 program proposal.
The program requires the college students mentoring elementary and secondary school youths in the areas of general studies and special talents for which each of the mentors gets a work-compensation scholarship.
For the past three years of the project, the Jeju National University project team earned funding of 47.43 in 2013, 124.92 in 2014 and 171.26 million won from the foundation. The grant increased to 250 million won this year.
Jeju National University is committed to implementing the youths program especially for economically underprivileged family youths on a long term basis.
