Teachers education overseas internship program gets reviewed

The Jeju National University College o0f Education conducted an evaluative review of the 2015 overseas internship travel program last Tuesday (March 29, 2016).

The overseas program is to train global minded teachers through internship study experience at elementary and secondary schools administered by the Education Board of Nova Scotia, Canada, during January 18 through February 26, this year.

The review session included individual reports by Ahn Geun Young (Senior, Department of Sociology Education) and Lee Ji Yoo (Junior, Department of Elementary Education) who observed a variety of classroom settings with teaching assistants assigned to provide effective educational environment for the students including those physically impaired. Ahn and Lee expressed satisfaction with their internship experience in Canada.

Jeju National University has offered the overseas education experience to 192 College of Education students on an annual basis since 2009.
