WISET Center launches activity and student reporters programs

Jeju National University Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET) Jeju Regional Center (Doh Yang Hee, Director) had an initiation gathering to set off two programs entitled “New WAVES Girls 5” and “WISET Student Reporters Club” for the WISET’s seasonal activities and students press conference, respectively, last Friday (April 8, 2016).

The annual 'The 5th Term New WAVES girls' program was inaugurated in 2012 to promote the engineering coeds’ leadership and to facilitate familiarity with the engineering subjects.

Seventeen teams comprised of 9 engineering and 2 science departments are participating in the program.

The participants in the 5th term program learned of the 4th term program teams’ experiences from Song Hye Won (Computer Engineering Department) and Kang Man Ri and Baek Eun Hwa (Architecture), followed by a Q&A session.

The WISET Jeju Regional Center has been running its science and engineering promotion program for area secondary and college coeds since 2002.
