JNU Ocean Science Institute provides Kidang Scholarships to youths

Four secondary school youths in Hamdeok received Kidang Oceanography Scholarship from Jeju National University Ocean Science Institute (Yeo In Kyu, Director) last Tuesday (April 8, 2016). The scholarship recipients are Hamdeok Junior High sophomores Lee So Hyun and Yang Woong, and Lee Joon Hyun, Junior from Hamdeok High School and sophomore Lee Sun Woo are from the same school.

The scholarship fund was established in 2007 and named after the Hamdeok native Kidang Kang Koo Beom, who resides in Japan and contributed the fund.

The JNU institute has been providing the scholarships to Hamdeok youths since March 2011.
