아라대동제, 3년만에 대면 행사로 열려

Ara Daedongje Festival, held as a face-to-face event for the first time in 3 years 

The '2022 Jeju National University Ara Daedongje' was held at the JNU Grand Stadium on Sept. 21 to 23.

The Festival, organized by 'Uri Students' Association (President Yang Woo-seok)', was the first face-to-face event held in three years since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Through this event, the Student Council was evaluated as having provided a place for communication and sharing with the local residents as well as restoring the vitality of fellow students who had been exhausted from schoolwork and COVID-19.

Many heads of institutions and organizations representing the Jeju region, including Jeju Governor Oh Young-hoon and a member of National Assembly Kim Han-kyu, and family members of Jeju National University, including President Kim Eel-hwan, attended at the opening ceremony to celebrate the revival of face-to-face Daedongje.

This event proved that the JNU Daedongje Festival has been established as a pan-provincial event in Jeju with participants from four universities’ students including JNU, middle and high school students, and residents in Jeju.
