의과대학, 2022학년도 시신기증자 추모식 개최

College of Medicine JNU held 2022 Memorial Ceremony for Body Donors

College of Medicine at Jeju National University (Dean Huh Jung-sik) held a ‘2022 Body Donors Memorial Ceremony’ at the Memorial Facility in Building 2 of the College of Medicine.

The ceremony for the donors is held every year to commemorate the noble spirit of the deceased who donated the body for medical development prior to anatomy education.

In his commemorative speech to students, Dean Huh said, “With today’s memorial ceremony as an opportunity, students will not forget the noble meaning of the deceased, and should engrave it in our hearts, realize the nobleness of human life, and humbly learn medicine.”

Hong Jin-kyu, president of the student council, said to the juniors "Now, you are taking the first step. I ask you to keep the courtesy of the deceased until the end of the anatomical practice. Also, always keep the dignity of human life in mind to practice in a suitable and sincere manner for medical ethics.“

Lee Yoo-rim, a second-year representative of the Department of Medicine who is practicing anatomy, said in the "Writing of Resolution," "I will become a medical student who can learn and understand the deep meaning of the deceased together." and added, "Not just knowing the dignity of life, I’ll become a true doctor who shares it and serves neighbors."
