'대학생 안보토론 대회' 2일 개막
"National security" to be debated next Saturday

Under the sponsorship of the Headquarter of Army Chief of Staff and organized by Jeju National University and Korea Military Academy, a National Security Debate meeting for collegians is scheduled to take place at the university campus on May 1~4, 2016. The theme of the debate is “The Island of Peace, a Frontier of National Security.”

The collegian-aimed debate series started in 2002 with the inaugural theme of the program “Festival for Ground Troops.” Fifteenth in the series this year is devoted to discuss the importance of national security for the collegians and future generations to recognize and at the same time promote the mutual understanding of civilian-military relationship.

Representatives of six national military academies and five overseas universities join some 200 participants from around this country for the four-day program which covers seven topical areas including unification, diplomacy, national defense, etc.
