JNU designated authorized agency for industry-academy consulting

Jeju National University was commissioned to serve as an industry-academic cooperative consulting agency as so designated by Small & Medium Business Administration and Small Enterprise and Market Service earlier this week (April 26, 2016).

The consulting project budgeted with 160 million won aims at working with more than 50 Jeju businesses including those of natural dyes, indigenous food and products-based manufacturing, and others.

Professor Kim Hyung Gil (Project Manager, Department of Management) and 4 other departmental faculty colleagues, along with one each from the Department of Tourism Management, and consulting specialist comprise the consulting group. Thirty graduate and undergraduate students in management also participate in the consulting program.

Each consulting case will be assigned to a professorial consultant or specialist assisted by two student members.

The program provides quality consulting for the regional small business owners and managers free of charge; it is hoped that the program promotes the commercial potentials of small business entrepreneurs in the region.
