'2016 제주어 말하기 대회' 개최
Boast your vernacular skills at 2016 Jeju Language Speaking Contest

In commemoration of the 64th Anniversary of Jeju National University, the JNU Korean Language and Culture Institute invites elementary and secondary school youths to the 2016 Jeju Vernacular Speaking Contest to be held in the College of Humanities Hall #2 next month (June 11, 2016).

There is no specific theme for this year’s contest as long as the preservation and value of the indigenous language is reflected. A contest entrant may choose any topic of his/her choice from Jejuan’s life and culture, nature, etc.

Each contestant may be either individual or a team of two students. The grand and gold medal winners of the previous contestants 2007~2015 are illegible for this year’s event.

Contest winners include Grand, Gold, Silver (3) and Bronze (6) medalists. All entrants will be given commemorative souvenirs.
