'제6회 반·디 제주포럼' 20일 개최
6th Semiconductor & Display Jeju Forum opens today

Jeju National University hosts the 6th Semiconductor & Display Jeju Forum in International Affairs Hall starting today through the weekend (May 20~20, 2016). JNU President Huh Hyang Jin, the National Assembly Creative Science, Broadcast and Communication Committee member Kwon Eun Hee, the Korean Association of Science and Technology Societies Vice President Lee Boo Sup, and Tokyo Electrons Chair Terry Higashi, along with some 200 representatives from academic, industrial, and governmental organizations, were in attendance at the opening session. The 6th S&D forum was hosted and organized by Professor Lee Kwang Man of Jeju National University.

The main theme of the forum this year is “Semiconductor & Display Technology for Electric Motor Vehicles.”

The forum program revolves around the theme which impacts directly on Jeju’s policy to achieve the carbon-free island by year 2030.

Speakers featured in the program include Keynote Speaker Lee Yoon Woo, Samsung Electronics, Invited Speakers Lee Jin Koo, Hyundai Autron, and Yang In Beom, Electric Vehicle Parts Research Institute.

Professor Kim Joong Jo, Distinguished Chair Professor, Jeju National University and Honorary Chair, Edward Korea, leads a roundtable discussion with panelists Noh Tae Moon (Korea Electronic and Communication Research Institute), Moon Bo Kyung (Technology Reporter), and Lee Kye Myung (Dean, Jeju National University College of Engineering).

The two-day forum also features a number of presentations relevant to the electric vehicle technology.
