Jeju black cows are the symposium topic this week



Previously announced (June 8, 2016), Jeju National University Jeju Black Cattle Research Center (Park Se Pil, Director) opened its annual symposium (“Jeju Black Cattle Symposium”) in the central research facility center earlier today (June 10, 2016).

The first session of the symposium program features presentations by Professor Park (Commercial scale breeding and preservation of Jeju cattle) and Professor Kim Jong Joo (Yeungnam University, “Analysis of genomic sequences and industrial implications”).

Other speakers include Kim Eun Young (CEO, Mirae Cell Bio), Moon Dong Il (chef), and Professor Cho Yoon Hi (University of Montana, USA).



The symposium highlights progress in the Black Cattle Research Center project to industrialize Jeju black cattle which was launched under the national and regional governmental sponsorship of agricultural, animal and food research project in 2015.
