JNU Library hosts libraries council meeting

Council on National College and University Libraries (Lee Sang Gwi, President) is having its 68th annual meeting on the JNU campus this week (June 9~10, 2016). The 53-institutional members council attracted some 120 participants including librarians and other library personnel from across the country.

Hosted by the JNU Library, the council meets to review and plan the 2015-2016 budgets and discuss the future developmental plan for the libraries in the country.

The program included a special lecture by JNU Professor Emeritus Kang Young Bong (Jeju culture and vernacular).

In a welcoming address, JNU President Huh Hyang Jin pointed out the financial implications of electronic journals with high subscription price tags.
