Ms. Ko Joo Young gets superior research award at Nuclear Energy meet

Ko Joo Young, senior, Department of Energy Engineering, presented a research paper at the 2016 Korean Society of Nuclear Energy meeting held in Jeju International Convention Center, and won a superior presentation prize (“KSNE Presidential Award”) at the meet. Professor Choi Soo Seok supervised her research.

The award-winning paper was entitled ‘Numerical Analysis of Transferred Arc Plasma for the Vitrification of Radioactive Wastes'.

The research presented has implications in safe transportation and storage of radioactive waste materials generated from the nuclear power plants.
