GTU Team holds workshop on International Baccalaureate Program

Jeju National University Global Teacher’s University (GTU; Chung Kwang Joong, Director) runs a workshop on the International Baccalaureate Program in the College of Education auditorium at 14:00, July 8, 2016.

The international baccalaureate (IB) program refers to the international elementary and secondary school education courses in preparation for admission to colleges and universities in over 110 countries. Branksome Hall Asia (BHA) and North London Collegiate School (NLCS) in Jeju and other international schools in Busan, Seoul and Songdo foreign schools run such an IB program.

The GTU project team expects the workshop to inform the public and the youths of the preparative education opportunities, especially in Jeju region.

The workshop program features a keynote speaker Park Ha Shik, Superintendent, Chungnam Samsung High School who is an expert on the IB program.

Other speakers include Kang Hyo Sun and Han Joo Yeon, Teachers at the JNU Auxiliary Secondary School, Professor Lee Moo Sung of Canberra University in Australia, and Professor Rodriguez of Stockton College in the United States.

The workshop will be held in the College #2 Hall seminar room 3327 and will be chaired by Professor Kang Sung Baek, GTU Project Manager. Rooms 3330 and 3331 will showcase examples of elementary and secondary school education programs, respectively.

The second workshop is being scheduled to take place in December 2016.
