Official Development Assistance Center opening at JNU to help developing countries

Jeju Province establishes a Korea Official Development Assistance (ODA) center with the goal of providing support for developing countries with their economic, social and welfare promotion developments at an opening ceremony held on the JNU campus last Wednesday (June 22, 2016).

Launching of the Jeju National University Korea Official Development Assistance Center (Hong Seung Mok, Director) was observed at the ceremony and attended by President Kim In Shik of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). JNU President Huh Hyang Jin, Deputy Governor Kim Bang Hoon, and other officials of Jeju development and international cooperation agencies.

The center operates under ODA directives for Jeju area residents, students, civic groups and industries to carry out such projects as △ODA education opportunity △new ODA projects and consulting for executing them △ODA networking with business cooperative partners △WFK (World Friends Korea, collegiate overseas volunteers) and △ Jeju area ODA monitoring and evaluation.
