From the second semester of next year, the 4·3 master’s and doctoral graduate course will be opened

Starting from the second semester of 2023, a graduate program for the 4？3 master’s and doctoral degree will be opened at Jeju National University.

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Jeju Provincial Council, Jeju National University, and Jeju Free International City Development Center signed a business agreement to foster masters and doctoral professionals in the 4？3 research field at Tamna Hall, Jeju Provincial Government Office.

In the meantime, 4？3 related organizations and institutions, including the Jeju 4·3 Victims' Families Association, have requested establishing educational institutions in Jeju to nurture specialists through the 4？3 specialized course in response to the lack of professional manpower on the 4？3.

According to the agreement, these four institutions will cooperate closely on projects that are recognized as mutually necessary in relation to △Operation of master's and doctoral courses to foster experts in 4？3 training field △Support for exchange of research personnel and vitalization of human resource training programs △Development and implementation of educational research programs and △Train of professional manpower to lead the nationalization, globalization, and futureization of 4？3.

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the Jeju Provincial Council, and the Jeju Free International City Development Center support the budget necessary to foster professional manpower.

JNU will operate graduate curriculum and education/research programs for nurturing master's and doctoral personnel in the 4？3 research field. The agreement period for the program is 5 years, and is automatically extended unless there is a reason for termination.
