Agreement between JNU Electronic engineering department and IOPs Co., Ltd. to foster leading talent in the aerospace industry

The Department of Electronic Engineering at Jeju National University's College of Engineering has signed a business agreement with IOPs to foster leading talent in the aerospace industry and to promote employment support.
IOPs Co., Ltd. is the only company that has the technology to test and operate Earth observation satellites in Korea. The company provides professional operating services such as multi-purpose satellites 7A, next-generation mid-sized satellites No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, 4 SAR satellite, electrical and electronic testing and development of electronic equipment, multi-purpose practical satellite (Arirang No. 2, No. 3, No. 5), geostationary complex satellite (Chullian) 1, 2A, 2B), the next-generation medium-sized satellite No. 1, and Korea's first lunar exploration satellite, Danuri. The company is contributing to the development of the aerospace industry based on the satellite test and operation technology it has accumulated so far.
In accordance with the establishment of the National Satellite Operation Center, which integrates operation and research for low-orbit national satellites and terrestrial antennas in Deokcheon-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-si, and JNU electronic engineering department plans to expand industry-academic cooperation in line with fostering future mobility and developing leading regions aerospace industry.
IOPS said, “Through this agreement with the Department of Electronic Engineering at Jeju National University, we will not only nurture human resources to lead the aerospace industry, but also will be recognized for our ability to lead the domestic space industry with the revitalization of research between universities and companies.”
